Design and Technology

Key Stage 3 :: Key Stage 4 :: Contact

Pupils will be encouraged to develop their design and technology capability through wide ranging project work. They will be given opportunities to work independently and in teams solving problems in a creative and systematic way.

Key Stage 3

At key stage 3, pupils will undertake projects in resistant materials, electronics, textiles and graphics. They will have the opportunity to choose and start GCSE’s at the beginning of  year 9.


Key Stage 4

At the key stage 4, we offer GCSE’s in Resistant Materials, Graphics Products and Textiles. These will open opportunities, for careers in Constructions and Design Fashion, Advertising, Merchandising, the film and stage industries.

 

 

Last year’s GCSE results were good in all areas especially Resistant Materials 66% and Textiles 68%.
