Learning and Teaching
Every lesson at Eastbrook School follows the process outlined by our 'Eastbrook Eight'
Behaviour for Learning
We have a very clear, comprehensive behaviour code. There are high expectations about students’ behaviour in lessons, around the school and in the local community. We expect all our students to behave in a responsible way and respect others’ right to learn. This is expressed in a clear and simple Code of Conduct, which is displayed around the school.
Eastbrook School believes that students who work well, behave sensibly and contribute to school life should be rewarded. Praise, merits, commendations and prizes are all part of our success culture. However, we will apply sanctions for inappropriate behaviour, lateness and poor attitude. Where more serious problems occur, contact with parents will be rapid so any difficulties can be tackled quickly.
Uniform
We believe that uniform fosters a sense of belonging, pride and identity with the school.
All students except the Sixth form must wear school uniform, including the designated PE kit.
The sixth form dress code is smart casual.
